An inspiring moment from the communities we serve.
My 10 year old son is on the Autism Spectrum and had to have a procedure done this month. I can not say enough about the way he was treated and cared for. The patient care representative found him a Batman shirt with a cape because she found out he loved Batman. The staff made everything fun. Even the anesthesiologist played “bowling” in the hospital bed on the way to the procedure room. My son was able to keep a furry friend with him as he fell asleep and when we went back to recovery, we saw that his furry friend was dressed in surgical gear complete with a hat and booties. My sons anxiety was at a minimum and I thank the amazing staff at Children’s Hospital for everything and the way they treat our children like they are their own.
